A petite, slender girl silently walked down the long stretch of beach. Her dark curls cascaded down around her shoulders, bouncing slightly with each step. Her light feet were placed in front of each other as she walked, Indian-style. Her big, pool-like blue eyes shimmered under batting, thick, dark lashes. Freckles danced across her nose, and her full, pink lips pursed slightly as she looked all around her in wonder.
Briar slowed to a halt, her bare feet wriggling into the soft, warm sand. The sunset shone reddish-orange light upon her figure, causing her body to be a mere silhouette from afar. She was dressed in a simple, loose, sky-blue t-shirt. The collar was stretched out from years of use, and sagged down her left shoulder, showing her creamy skin. Her jeans were well worn - not grungy - and black. They were rolled up to her knees, revealing her finely-shaped, slender legs.
A soft smile curled her plump lips, showing straight, white teeth. A faint giggle burst from her throat, and Briar raised a few fingers to press them to her mouth. "So beautiful..." She listened to the lulling song of the waves.
Then, Briar raised her right arm to gracefully arc over the crown of her head, and her left arm swept behind her. Raising her body on tiptoes, she slowly twirled in the sand, and danced upon the beach. Her silhouette was beautiful, graceful, and innocent. Would anyone come to witness her dance?

The day so far had not been too bad once she got passed the intense tennis and work out session she had made herself go through this morning. Heck, she even went on another run in the late afternoon and now she was at the beach just ready to unwind and relax. All her running and lifting weights this morning along with the practice of different skills, foot drills, and the dreaded suicides had her staying home in her work out clothes until she went on another run and only after that run did she get a shower and change into more comfortable clothes. More comfortable as in they were not soaked in sweat from a day’s hard work out. Water had been her constant companion all day to help rehydrate her, keep a headache away from dehydration, and to help quench her thirst. She really had gotten more out of shape than she originally thought she was which probably meant she might have to start hitting a gym soon and use some of the machines instead of a few weights at home. With a sigh, Kyla shook her head to get the thoughts of working out away and bent over to take her flip flops into one hand while the other held her iPod. She would rather have the sand beneath her feet instead of feeling it between her feet and her sandals- it was just a preference, much like her music choices for the evening.
The music wasn’t blaring too loud from her ear buds; they just couldn’t be because she did not even have the volume up full blast. The music she could hear coming through the buds however varied from Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, The Devil Wears Prada, some Hollywood Undead, Shine Down, and even Linkin Park or well… anything that was mostly heavy was on shuffle at the moment. Now some might think that the music choice might be anything but relaxing, but she had her music tastes and this was what she was in the mood to listen to. Actually, Ky was a bit moody at the moment too so maybe that also helped to explain her genre choice tonight. She was angry a bit at her parents because the one time they were home for the family to spend time together- they kick her out of the house and tell her to “go get some fresh air.” What had see been doing so far? Certainly not exploring the place because she was new oh no, never that. I slight sneer took over her features at the thoughts because she told herself to knock it off and just focus on the music. That was until her walking had brought her upon another person on the rather un-crowed beach. This was her only her second time coming to the beach, but so far each time she had encountered an interesting situation. The first one had been an encounter with a boy and now this time with a girl who was… dancing? Drawing her brows together in confusion and in a slight frown, Ky turned her music down and pulled an ear bud out of one of her ears. Had the girl been singing too? Because right now, Kyla didn’t hear anything except her music, some chattering of people, the calling of seabirds, and the crash of the waves as they broke. ”Hello?” She called out tentatively to the girl as she stood a little ways behind her with only a curious expression on her face.
