Sierra liesurely made her way through the park, not really thinking about where she wanted to go. She had a cup of soda in one hand and the other was limply swaying back and forth at her side. She had come from home, because she had got in trouble and wanted to forget about her parents for a little while. It felt good to get away from reality and just zone out. She didn't care if she bumped into anyone, as long as she got to stay away from home.
As she kept on her journey, she sporadically took sips from her cup of soda. The headband on her head bothered her a little, so she pulled it off and wrapped it around her wrist. She looked around, seeing little kids playing on seesaws and swings. She smiled, remembering when she was little. She was such a troublemaker, she had such a big imagination... She missed it a lot. The only part she didn't back was her parents' strictness from then. She had attempted to run away for a week but came home when her friends parents found out.
Her parents didn't treat her the same afterwards. Adults were so confusing, why would they keep changing their minds? They say okay, you can go out, then freak out about you being late. It confused, frustrated, and angered her in so many ways.
She hated it.
